8. Put 1 or more aquatic plants in the tank and let the betta camouflage, play, swim or even sleep in the plant.

9. Use an aquatic plant to shield the fish from any light that may be very bright. ( You may want to use a light to help the aquatic plant photosynthesise.

10. Call out the betta's name and familiarise it with its name.

eleven. Put stones in the tank with a volume of 20 to 30 cubic centimetres. One of the stones in my betta's tank has a volume of 24 cubic centimetres. Use natural stones such as garden stones and avoid using artificial / commercial stones that may contain harmful chemicals which may affect your betta.

Do note that putting lego structures in the tank could be bad as bettas may try to bite the lego bricks and injure themselves as a result.
