Republic of Gvarii

The Republic of Gvarii is an online Whatsapp-run micronation run and populated primarily by male Singaporean secondary school students. The country has close ties with other micronations such as Deriskinta and Winter White Republic. Founded from a whatsapp channel about history facts, the country has its own whatsapp channel and community with 20+ groups comprising about 30 active members. The Republic does not function on a constitution and due to its small population is run based on consensus on Gvariian laws among parliamentarians.

The republic has a ceremonial president who serves for life, with little power over legislation but has veto powers to exercise in the event of a hung parliament or the inability of the parliament to decide on laws due to parliamentary deadlock. The president must also approve the timings of all general election rallies, and grant citizenship but not revoke it, among a few other powers. The republic also has a unicameral parliament, called the People's Assembly, containing 6 elected representatives of the country's citizens and few foreign voters. The representatives are elected every 4 months in a general election with voting open to all citizens, and in which the leader of the party which wins the most number of seats, becomes the prime minister, and the leader of the party which wins the second-highest number of seats becomes the Leader of the Opposition. Ministers ( excluding prime minister ) are also appointed by the Prime Minister across 5 ministries, mostly led by members of the ruling GPP. In the current situation, excluding the president and prime minister ( assuming the president remains and MPA, he is likely to ), all 5 MPAs need to have a ministerial role for all ministerial positions to be occupied.

Gvarii's general chat, its civilian capital, is also a key foreign settlement for citizens of other TMU ( Temasek Micronations Union ) countries, especially Deriskintans, with just under half of its population of about 40+ being made up of non-Gvariians.
